US Open Live
The 2010 US Open is the 4th Grand Slam event of the season. It's played on the outdoor hard courts of the Flushing Meadows Park. This is the 129th edition of the US Open, the oldest tennis tournament of the world. Live tennis is scheduled daily, between August 30 and September 12.
Rafael Nadal tops the Men's Singles seeds for the 2nd time in 3 years. He aims for hist first US Open title, the only Grand Slam trophy missing from his impressive list of successes. Last year's winner Juan Martin Del Potro won't be able to defend his title because of a right wrist injury.
Roger Federer, 5 times US Open winner and Nadal's biggest rival, seems more than ready to add one more Grand Slam title to his belt. Andy Murray, Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Fernando Verdasco and Robin Soderling are also important title contenders.
The
Women's Singles tournament lists Caroline Wozniacki, last year's finalist, as top seed. Kim Clijsters, seed No. 2, is favourite to defend her title, after Serena William's withdrawal from US Open 2010. Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Samantha Stosur and Jelena Jankovic are other big names ready to place a bid for the trophy.
